Would you believe that the few I know have grown to over 900 ordained pastors in the United Methodist Church who have announced they will openly defy the Order of their ordination vows and the Book of Discipline of the Church by performing the marriage ceremony for any same sex couples who desire to marry.

Those 900 clergy are openly defiant of the order and vows that bind us together in fellowship in Christ Jesus our Lord as the United Methodist Church. They are openly challenging that Unity.

They have stated openly that their goal is to prompt charges to be filed in so many places at one time across the face of our Chruch that the burden and expense of bringing to trial all of the offenders will overwhelm the Church and weaken our resolve and that unity as we approach General Conference 2012.

Their hope is that in doing so we will finally surrender to them and a culture that stands in direct opposition to the testimony of the Scripture and the 2000 year old tradition of not only the Church, but also the history of all humanity down through the ages. A history that has upheld marriage to be between one man and one woman, the most basic building block of civilization and a protected relationship in all societies down throughout all recorded history.

Marriage IS the sacred union of one man and one woman. I believe this to be true and nonnegotiable, the original and first gift of God to man and woman.

They most certainly have revealed themselves to be wolves, ravenous to devour the offspring of Christ Jesus our Lord!

Colony Bay stands in deep contrast to these Wolves as you shine the light in the darkness to awaken us to the truth of our history as a people. Thank you for championing those values I hold so dear!
