It is less important in an episodic drama. People invest in the ongoing story and much less in the mega-celeb.

American Graffiti… No names except Ron Howard. The entire cast went on to be Names. Original investment $775,000 returned $140,000,000. A good story well told will draw an audience.
Franco Zeffirelli often cast unknowns who went on to fame. Olivia Hussey ! ! ! (Juliet) Be still my heart! My wife loved Leonard Whiting (Romeo); always says with a big sigh, “His eyes….”
Just well cast professionals with an extraordinary story to take your breath away. I know another story like that, a period piece set in Courage, New Hampshire. Marvelous story and talented cast and crew is all it takes!
