My wife _cannot_ watch Kevin Costner. She never believes him, in any performance, ever. He’s not my favorite actor, but I don’t have that sweeping a reaction.

However, if I sense that someone is just leveling the “boring” bomb because they have some other agenda against the show, then I just call them half wits. (wink, smile)

I admire so much what you are doing with this series, and the Courage it takes to step out and offer it. My husband, whom I love dearly, is one who must be tied down and forced to watch shows and movies that make my heart go pitty-pat. This unfortunately includes educational shows of all types, so when I want to spend time with him I must be prepared to watch never ending reruns of sitcoms. I do enjoy those too, but day after day….just too much. Give me a lesson in history, science, classic books, and the like, and I will just glow. Does that mean he isn’t intelligent? No, in fact he likely surpasses my intelligence numbers by many points. The difference lies in level of curiosity, and try as I might, I just can’t force that into him. So take heart, even as a man such as he can learn to like musicals and history with a regular exposure (he’s come a long way, honest!), so too can others learn to love what comes naturally to someone lke me. Chin up, keep moving forward, and know where the rope is. :D
