The person that wrote in dissapointed with the story content also indicated that she hopes “that you will give us true historic stories of our early beginnings”. I would assume that this would also include stories other than the historical battles and speeches of the time? How about the first hand accounts of the people that lived it and experienced the full range of life that included what was going on behind the battle lines? The premise depicted in the first episode was carefully researched and it is unfortunate that our historical knowledge is limited to just the dates and places of history. The real drama is what made these people so special (and different from us) in the building of our country.

I think I stumbled on why a lot of Christian film ends up looking so anemic. When God tells a story, He doesn’t say “I wonder what violence and sex rating Ted Baehr at MovieGuide will give me?”

That is precisely why Courage, New Hampshire is such a major departure and has evoked such surprising responses from so many diverse commentators. It is truly a game changer is many ways. It allows us to know the people of the time by referencing dialogue from first person accounts from the period itself. It doesn’t shy away from controversy and shares the story in a stark and frank manner that I find refreshing and honest. You will continue to produce episodes and not be restricted by a network or sponsors that require a certain demographic. Yes, “Courage” is what you have and it is a game changer!
